...and much to be Proud of
This afternoon at the matinee performance of the London Gay Men's Chorus at Cadogan Hall.
After what is reported as an excellent opening night, this, for an afternoon performance on a hot day was still electric, with a lot of audience standing to show appreciation.
With the title 'Proud', and with a number of Chorus members' filmed testimonies of what they had to be Proud about this was also very moving, and particularly from the man who had latterly developed Parkinson's - the charitable focus of these performances.
The singing was, of course, exceptional, but the production values almost more so; if these weren't technically amateurs they would be professional - that half the assembled multitude had just returned from a very successful Italian tour was no surprise.
